Established over 40 years ago by James O’Grady Snr as a transport company, the business expanded into crane hire when his eldest son, Tommy O’Grady, joined the firm. Today, the company is led by Tommy, supported by his four brothers and a skilled, experienced workforce. O’Grady Crane Hire & Transport is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading lifting specialists.

The company prides itself on a very low staff turnover, with many operators having remained with the business for years. This continuity ensures a high standard of service and expertise on every project.

O’Grady Crane Hire & Transport currently employs a full-time staff of 22 and operates a well-maintained fleet of mobile and tower cranes, artic and rigid trucks, specialist trailers, equipment and Hiab transport.

Crane capacities range from 30 tonne to 300 tonne and include mobile cranes, crawler cranes, mini/city cranes and mobile tower cranes. Transport services range from standard flatbed transport to specialist abnormal load movements.

The company provides a complete service, from initial site inspection through to specialist heavy contract lifts. No job is considered too big or too small.
