Dermot Kelly is an experienced, accredited psychotherapist offering professional counselling services to children, adolescents and adults in Dublin. With a compassionate and client-focused approach, Dermot supports individuals through life’s challenges in a safe, confidential environment.

About Dermot
Dermot has been practising psychotherapy since 2009, working across a wide range of settings including hospitals, prisons, and educational environments. He brings a depth of experience and understanding to his work, helping clients navigate complex emotional and psychological issues.

He is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and works in line with the ethical standards of the Irish Association of Play Therapy & Psychotherapy (IAPTP).

Qualifications & Training

  • Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy – PCI College
  • Professional Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Certificate in Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness
  • Training in Sexual Violence Counselling – Dublin Rape Crisis Centre
  • MA in Pastoral Leadership – DCU
  • BA in Theological & Philosophical Studies – Milltown Institute
  • Currently completing MA in Creative & Play Therapy

Dermot’s approach is humanistic and integrative, meaning he tailors therapy to each individual client.
