Christine Stewart, Yoga Teacher, provides yoga classes in Boyle & Lough Key Forest Park and holds regular day and week-long yoga events in Inishbofin.

Hatha Yoga helps to flex, lengthen and strengthen your muscles and your mind as well as alleviating stress and leaving you more relaxed.

Regular practice of yoga enables you to live your life to the full; it works on lots of different levels of our being. Physically, yoga strengthens both body and mind by developing greater flexibility and balance; it can give relief from numerous common ailments by loosening stress in the body and using parts of the body we might not have used for years.

Psychologically, yoga sharpens the intellect, aids concentration and steadies the emotions. Beyond that, Yoga allows self-awareness and the ability to be still, which gives rise to inner peace.

About Christine

Christine has practiced yoga for many years and is eternally grateful to all her teachers.  She lives in Boyle with her wonderful family, husband, five children, many dogs, a cat and a polytunnel. She came to yoga while pregnant, too long ago to mention and was hooked.

Christine did her initial yoga teacher training 500 hours in Ardnahoo with Noeleen Tyrrell.

She is a fully certified Anusara yoga teacher and has trained as a Teen Yoga teacher with Charlotta Martinus, and Prenatal Yoga with Cherie Lathey in Yoga Mama, Advanced Prenatal Yoga in The Elbow Room, and a hypnobirthing facilitator, Yin Yoga – 300 hrs with The Summers School of Yoga and Restorative Yoga Trainings with Sue Flamm, Anna Ashby and Judith Hanson Lasater .

An iRest Meditation and Yoga Nidra Teacher, she loves the healing and restorative aspect of this ancient practice.

She has trained  in Yoga for Cancer and Sports with YTI, Womb Yoga and Yoga Nidra with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Tibetan bowls with Simone Meschning.

Christine has great love and attachment to Inishbofin and runs and hosts retreats there, loving the wild clear energy and beauty of the island for relaxation, and retreats.

Christine considers herself very lucky to teach yoga in Boyle where she shares a studio, Boyle Yoga Shack and is currently opening another studio and meditation room in Boyle: Studio 11. She also teaches in the beautiful Lough Key and on Inishbofin – two very beautiful and diverse locations.
