WELCOME TO BALANCE HOLISTIC WELLNESS

Balance Holistic Wellness is a practice offering Holistic Massage & Reflexology since 2003.

Organic Holistic Therapies
Using organic oils and towels, treatments are tailored to suit each client’s needs and can be adapted accordingly.  In many cases courses of 6 treatments are recommended to enable the therapy to be of utmost effectiveness and ensure best results.

Holistic Full Body Massage
From ancient China to present-day Europe, massage has been used to promote and restore health. The treatment can be relaxing or stimulating, depending on the client’s requirements and its benefits and effects are numerous.

Full Body Massage involves the following parts of the body:

- Upper, middle & lower back, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, abdomen, arms, hands and face

Primary reasons to choose a Full Body Massage:

All over body aches & pains, stress, fatigue, insomnia, leg muscle tightness, digestive issues, arm & hand issues, skin disorders and circulatory issues.

Holistic Back Massage
From ancient China to present-day Europe, massage has been used to promote and restore health. The treatment can be relaxing or stimulating, depending on the client’s requirements and its benefits and effects are numerous.

Back Massage involves the following parts of the body:

- Upper, middle & lower back, neck and shoulders

Primary reasons to choose a Back Massage:

Shoulder tightness, neck stiffness, lower back complaints, posture issues and stress.

Traditional Indian Head Massage
Used for thousands of years to treat mind and body, Indian Head Massage combines ancient techniques and modern awareness to alleviate tension and stress. Traditional Indian Head Massage is carried out while the client is in a seated position on a chair.

Indian Head Massage involves the following parts of the body:

- Upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, ears, head, scalp, hair and face

Primary reasons to choose Traditional Indian Head Massage:

Overactive mind, stress, headaches, migraines, sleep problems, alopecia and when contraindicated for other treatments that are more invasive.

Reflexology
The principles of reflexology date back thousands of years. It is a treatment carried out on the feet, which are used as a map of the whole body. By manipulating, and applying pressure to certain parts of the feet, the whole body can be ‘re-tuned’ and brought back into balance. Treatment is carried out with client in a semi-lying position on an adjustable massage plinth.

Reflexology involves the following parts of the body:

- Both feet and lower legs

Primary reasons to choose Reflexology:

Internal issues of the systems of the body including the digestive, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, nervous & respiratory systems. Many emotional issues may be helped through reflexology also, including depression, fear, anxiety, stress and grief.

About Me - Olive Walsh Dip. ITEC
I was introduced to Holistic treatments by a friend. My first treatment was an Indian Head Massage after which my therapist recommended that I receive some back massages to release the tension in my shoulders that was due to a stressful Marketing job and demanding lifestyle. From treatment to treatment, she explained to me more and more about Holistic therapies and I made the decision to take a career break and join a course of Holistic studies that she was enrolling students for. The course gave an ITEC qualification which is an internationally recognised examination body for therapists. The subjects were Anatomy & Physiology, Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy each lasting one year. During this time I also learned Indian Head Massage and since completing the course have been trained in Hot Stone Massage.

My career break turned into being a career change and I am now very dedicated to the Holistic way and have a strong passion for, and belief in, my chosen therapies and related fields such as organic food, chemical-free products and a healthy lifestyle. I regularly attend seminars and courses about health and self-development which I find very interesting and motivational. I strive towards a goal for balance in mind, body and spirit and I look forward to helping you reach that same goal.
